Hometown: Ringgold, Georiga
First job: Art Director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sedona. I LOVED working with the kids.
Favorite AZ restaurant: Andreoli Italian in Scottsdale. It’s quaint, authentic, family friendly and walking distance from my house. The food is exquisite and is owned and run by a local Italian family.
Person who has impacted your life the most: My dad. He’s my greatest inspiration. He’s the true immigrant story. He came to America with $2 in his pocket and a head full of dreams. Today he’s a wildly successful businessman with a hospitality empire.
Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes: Raising 4 kids. When I was 20 years old, I learned of two boys that were 13 and 14 and had been abandoned by their parents. I adopted them. Raising teenagers isn’t easy! Between running them to sports practice and working, I became friends with one of their hockey coaches and later fell in love. We’ve been happily married for 10 years and have 2 more kids- our son who’s 8 years old and daughter who’s 6.
The biggest obstacle you have overcome: Being a single mom at 20 was definitely a big obstacle. At times things felt overwhelming! I wish that I had something like TouchPoints when I was a mom. Putting on something and relieving stress in 30 seconds would be amazing! This is why now I embedded the #TouchOfHope in our company. For every two TouchPoints we sell, we give one away to someone in need. When you have obstacles to overcome, everything helps!
Someone who inspires you: My husband. He’s the kindest, most thoughtful, romantic and intelligent man I know. He makes me a better person every day!
Favorite quote: “You make a living by what you get, you make a life by what you give.” –Sir Winston Churchill.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Be tenacious. Obstacles will get in your way. When you run into a brick wall find a way to go around it, over it, or through it. Don’t give up!
What makes someone fabulous: Honesty, Integrity, and Ambition. People who can honestly be themselves and know what they want out of life and who do it with integrity are a force to be reckoned with!
