As modern, sustainable real estate becomes the market norm, the city of Phoenix is taking steps to meet the “eco-moment” by bringing a new smart home community to north central Phoenix. The projectābetter known as Karmaāis a product of Boyer Vertical, the same architect-led real estate development firm that focuses on sustainably minded designs and is behind other top Valley real estate projects like artHaus, The Point, 5214 Residence and more.
Karma will represent a first-of-its-kind smart community, with luxury homes set apart by more modern, sustainable and notably energy-efficient properties. The eco-neighborhoodāwhich is currently under construction and settled near North 13th Place and Bethany Home Roadāwill also mark the first community in the country to include such an expansive, electrical panel plan with all of its homes.
In short: homeowners in Karma’s neighborhood will actually be able to manage the power circuity of their house directly from their smartphones. The project will also emphasize energy efficiencyāwith solar panel and home battery control integration.
According to Boyer Vertical’s president and CEO, the homes will reportedly “start just over $1 million,” with a variety of upgrade options available, as well.
Karma will also offer a number of varying floor plansāwith some as big as 2,600 square feet. Each two-story home will be made up of four bedrooms and a handful of bathrooms, plus a private backyard and a garage perfect for storing a homeowner’s smart car (or regular-sized vehicle).
