Arizona’s Largest Hotel Now Open

After its development was put on hold last spring, Sheraton Phoenix Downtown, Arizona’s largest hotel with 1,003 rooms, has reopened its doors and is ready to welcome guests inside.

Located in the heart of Downtown Phoenix, Sheraton Phoenix Downtown is one of the first hotels to display Sheraton’s new signature key elements, a focus on bringing hope and life to the community as its prepares for a revival in tourism this year.

“We are thrilled to re-introduce Sheraton Phoenix Downtown to our wonderful local community and welcome back travelers and guests who are making their return to Phoenix once again,” says General Manager Mike Ehmann in a press release. “Sheraton’s core value is to bring people together. We believe travelers will feel intrinsically linked to the Phoenix community and vice versa through the hotel’s concerted design elements that represent the heritage of the brand and warm textures of the region, and through engaging hotel programming that gives guests a sense of belonging.”

The newly renovated space offers guests a modern and warm community-minded environment, with sleek lines, marble countertops and a fresh, contemporary, backdrop for guests to dine, imbibe and enjoy time in Phoenix. The lobby embraces the hotel’s philosophy of form and function, with a large communal table designed with outlets, plenty of lighting and wireless charging stations for those who need a space to work. Guests can also expect to find soundproof booths strategically placed throughout the lobby, perfect for phone calls, private hangouts or reading a book, as well as uniquely-designed “Studios” providing guests up to 600 square feet of privacy. The glass space allows guests to control the room’s lighting, temperature and the option to order food right to the door.

Sheraton’s fare includes & More by Sheraton, a simple grab-and-go-style market, part bar, part coffee shop. Each dining destination features locally sourced options, and a rotating menu that transitions from day to night. A full-service restaurant will soon be making its debut in the summer of 2021. An outdoor lap pool is also slated to open early this summer and join the hotel’s state-of-the-art fitness center with a variety of classes.

Staying at the hotel is all about comfort, with rooms filled with bright natural light, soft wood tones and black metal accents shaping the room. The walls are also soundproof, and each room has a 65-in. wall-mounted TV.
