Barbie hits theaters July 21. In anticipation of what is sure to be the movie of the summer, the Valley is seeing pink with a variety of Barbie-themed parties and brunches, spa specials and social media-worthy cocktails.

Boozie Barbie Brunch

Food By Frank and Girl About Town hosts a Boozie Barbie Brunch on Saturday, July 22, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 50 Shades of Rosé in Old Town Scottsdale. Guests can dig into passes bites, like cheeseburger sliders, mini cinnamon rolls and much more, while sipping mimosas. Also on tap are photo opps, including a life-size Barbie box, and DJ entertainment.
Cost: General admission tickets are $40 (seating is first come, first served) and includes a Girl About Town retro drink pouch and passed bites. A limited number of VIP booths are available for $450 and includes tickets and guaranteed booth seating for eight people, one mimosa per person and a shared bites plate delivered to the table.

Arizona Facial Plastics Barbie Facial

“Life in plastic, it’s fantastic.” Arizona Facial Plastics in Phoenix has launched a Barbie-inspired one-hour facial for a limited time to celebrate summer’s hottest movie. The Barbie facial uses lemon zest enzymes to exfoliate and brighten the skin, and guests will choose between an ultrasonic scrub or manual extractions. The treatment is rounded out with a strawberry-mint mask to minimize pores and reduce oil, as well as a relaxing face and scalp massage.

Dollhouse-Themed Fun at Hotel Valley Ho

Hotel Valley Ho is thinking pink in honor of the Barbie movie. Through August, the Let’s Go Party “Show Stopper” Shake at ZuZu features a strawberry milkshake topped with a blonde glamour girl in a pink frosting tsunami cake dress with sprinkles and glitter, pink icing, strawberry milk crumb, sprinkles and whipped cream. The shake is $20, and $1 of each shake sold will go to Fresh Start Women’s Foundation. Available for stays through August 13, guests who book the Dollhouse Package will enjoy a Let’s Go Party “Show Stopper” Shake, a Think Pink poolside cocktail (grab some photos at the themed photo booth at OH Pool, too!) and a Harkins Theatres pass to see the movie. (The shake is to share, and all other inclusions are per person registered to the room.) During the weekend of July 21 and July 23, guests and those who book a poolside spot can enjoy the Dollhouse Pool Party from 1 to 5 p.m. each day. Malibu Barbie at Hash Kitchen

The Malibu Barbie cocktail has made its debut at Hash Kitchen, which just opened its doors at Verde at Cooley Station in Gilbert. The shareable sip features a refreshing fruity blend of coconut rum, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, orange, High Noon Lime Vodka Hard Seltzer and grenadine. The bright bevvy is served in a Barbie-approved handbag-shaped glass.
