Sage Aubrey isn’t just in the business of designing stunning, on-trend handbags—though, she does that exceedingly well. Sage is also committed to changing the fashion industry for the better—making it more personal, less stuffy and proving that a good bag can do more than just elevate your outfit, it can actually change your life.

Get to know more about Sage below:

A fashion trend you’re currently obsessed with? Chain necklaces, minimal hoops and colorful accessory pops.

Advice you would offer someone who’s trying to figure out their own personal style sense? Be 1,000 percent authentic. Other than that, my secrets are: Modernize your denim and your whole vibe will be updated. Instantly! Also, when in doubt go classic and minimal. Turtleneck, blazer, modern denim, on-trend sunglasses, small to medium chunky hoop earrings and a well-crafted bag.

Plus, these few key pieces are my daily go-tos:
Shock yourself, wear a hat, the boots over the knee, unbutton your shirt a bit more, wear smoky eyes occasionally. Test, fail and get out of your comfort zone time to time. Lastly, we need more confident women unapologetically showing up for themselves.

One thing you’d like to see change (or rather, see more of) in Arizona’s fashion scene? I like realistic everyday wardrobe and ensemble style—I think fashion should be about good style and how to achieve that. I feel like the fashion scene can be too far out there and not realistic for many— therefore, you kind of avoid the scene. I’m excited to see the city grow, and what brands will grow and come out of here in hopes that it can really start giving our fashion scene the vibe it so deserves.

An Arizona-based fashion brand or designer that inspires you and why? Well, I recently met Daryl Bland, @adoseofdaryl on IG, who started Blerr magazine—a digital magazine dedicated to representing the LGBTQ community. He is young, ambitious, kind and incredibly talented. He’s my fave.
