Mattel Adventure Park will become Arizona’s first fully themed indoor/outdoor amusement park upon its grand opening in 2024 in Glendale, featuring the first-of-its-kind Hot Wheels Bone Shaker Roller Coaster.
Just south of the State Farm Stadium at VAI Resort, Mattel Adventure Park will be open 365 days a year. The year-round theme park is designed to showcase the range of brands sold by the iconic toymaker. With nine acres, the park will have various indoor attractions, allowing access to fully air-conditioned spaces for a comfortable environment no matter what season it is.

The park will feature two Hot Wheels roller coasters: the Hot Wheels Bone Shaker and the Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer. These roller coasters were created to excite thrill-seekers of all ages. The Hot Wheel Bone Shaker is the first-ever family coaster to showcase the iconic hot rod’s skull design, ascending 84 feet into the sky. Meanwhile, the Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer features a double loop and two corkscrews—Arizona’s very first coaster of its kind.

The excitement doesn’t stop at Hot Wheels. The park will have an abundance of experiences and rides from other beloved Mattel brands. Thomas & Friends World of Sodor offers seven family-friendly attractions and rides with an indoor play area. A life-size Barbie Beach House with the iconic Barbie Dream Closet Experience complete with a rooftop bar and a restaurant will have views of the entire property. At Masters of the Universe, fans can engage in battles within a 4,500-sq.-ft. laser tag area modeled after the Castle Grayskull Fortress. In addition, there will be a mini-golf experience with nine holes inspired by Classic Mattel games such as Magic 8 Ball and Pictionary.
