The Thunderbirds have announced that Post Malone will take center stage from the 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale for the 2024 edition of the Concert in the Coliseum on Saturday, Feb. 3. The concert takes place two days ahead of WM Phoenix Open tournament week.
“The Concert in the Coliseum is a unique tradition at ‘The People’s Open’ and an event worthy of a truly transcendent musical talent in Post Malone,” says 2024 WM Phoenix Open Tournament Chairman George Thimsen, in a press release. “His unbelievable stage presence and one-of-a-kind sound is going to kick off WM Phoenix Open week with a bang. We couldn’t be more excited to see him on stage.”
2024 marks the third year that The Thunderbirds have hosted this unique concert event, taking place on a large stage built in the middle of the 16th hole. Last year’s performances featured Maroon 5 and Walker Hayes, while the first-ever Concert in the Coliseum was headlined by Thomas Rhett and Old Dominion.
“Post Malone’s signature blend of high-energy performances and genre-bending lyrics are sure to be a force on the stage at the 16th hole,” says Concert in the Coliseum Chairman Billy Malkovich, in a press release. “In each of the first two years, the Concert in the Coliseum has featured absolutely incredible musical acts and we’re thrilled to continue the tradition in 2024.”
This announcement came shortly after Dierks Bentley was confirmed to play the 2024 Coors Light Birds Nest, a four-night concert series taking place Feb. 7 to Feb. 10 during WM Phoenix Open week. Bentley is set to take the stage on Thursday, Feb. 8, along with special guests Mitchell Tenpenny and Meghan Patrick. Tickets for Bentley’s Coors Light Birds Nest show will go on sale on Friday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online at CoorsLightBirdsNest.com. Limited tickets still remain for Wednesday’s opening night featuring HARDY and Bailey Zimmerman. Friday and Saturday lineups will be announced at a later date.
The 2024 WM Phoenix Open will take place Feb. 5 to Feb. 11 at TPC Scottsdale. The 2024 edition will mark the 89th playing of the event (one of the five oldest events on the PGA TOUR) and the 15th with WM as title sponsor.
General admission tickets for Post Malone’s kickoff concert to WM Phoenix Open week will go on sale Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. at www.WMPhoenixOpen.com. Venue gates open at 3:30 p.m. The Concert in the Coliseum is a 21-and-over event.
