Scottsdale Entrepreneurs Launch CRUSH Pickleball Brand

CRUSH, a brand dedicated to offering top-tier professional pickleball equipment at an affordable price, was launched in August 2023 by Scottsdale entrepreneurs Pete and Richelle Nassos, alongside pickleball pro Brett Warner. CRUSH has quickly become a leader in the industry, providing premium paddles, backpacks, apparel and accessories.

The Scottsdale-based company has set itself apart with its commitment to quality without breaking the bank. CRUSH has an impressive lineup of products, including the highly sought-after FREESTYLE Pro Paddle, favored by many professionals and the FEARLESS Hybrid Paddle, emerging as the best-selling paddle in racquet stores under $100.

“We started CRUSH with the idea and goal to equip players with premium paddles at a fair price,” says CRUSH co-founder, Richelle Nassos, in a recent press release. “We fully embrace the response from players and are actively finding ways to support them on their pickleball journeys.”

The company’s slogan, “Love The Way You Play,” has resonated strongly with players, leading to a surge in applications from consumers wanting to represent the CRUSH brand. The CRUSH community has expanded to include players, coaches and ambassadors from diverse backgrounds, including influencers, firefighters, baseball players, musicians and TV personalities. Notable pro-level players, such as USA Pickleball Indoor National Champion Alex Crum and APP Next Gen Gold Medalists Carl Hilliard and Elliot Schupp, proudly endorse CRUSH.

“CRUSH is on pace to become the largest pickleball paddle company in Arizona and one of the most popular brands in the sport,” says Nassos, in a press release.

Warner, the third member of the CRUSH leadership team, brings a wealth of experience as a five-time USA Pickleball national champion and coach of the Scottsdale Scorchers pro team. He highlighted the community-building aspect of CRUSH, where players connect on and off the courts, fostering a vibrant culture.

“What’s happening within CRUSH is amazing – first players and customers are joining our community on social media, then they connect with our followers directly, online and on the courts,” says Warner, in a recent press release. “The culture is amazing; players are finding social games, training groups, tournament team-ups, event travel companions and more.”

CRUSH doesn’t just aim to be another pickleball company. It aspires to create a movement that intentionally shares joy through the game.
