The Pickleball Space, a recently opened indoor pickleball facility in Glendale, is set to host its official Grand Opening Charity Pickleball Tournament on Jan. 20 and Jan. 21, starting at 8 a.m. The event promises two days of thrilling matches, with 50 percent of the proceeds supporting the C4 Foundation.
Adjacent to Stratosphere Adventure Park, The Pickleball Space spans an impressive 30,000 square feet and features 10 indoor courts. The Pickleball Space is more than just your average pickleball venue. It aims to infuse the vibrant spirit of pickleball and local cuisine into the Glendale community.
Inside the new facility, players can savor Peixoto coffee, enjoy healthy, ready-to-eat meals by Custom Provisions and shop at a dedicated Pickleball Pro Shop, courtesy of Ray’s Rackets. The shop offers a range of gear available for rent or purchase, catering to players of all skill levels.
“We are thrilled to bring the Glendale community a welcoming space for players of all skill levels to experience the game of pickleball,” says John Solema, director of Development & Programs, in a recent press release. “Our vision is to deliver a warm and dynamic sense of community at our venue and to be a space where the game of pickleball can thrive.”
To mark its grand opening, The Pickleball Space is organizing a charity pickleball tournament. With 50 percent of the proceeds dedicated to the C4 Foundation, an organization supporting active-duty Navy Seals and their families, the tournament aims to bring together the Glendale community. The two-day event includes men’s and women’s doubles on Saturday, Jan. 20, and mixed doubles on Sunday, Jan. 21.
“We invite all to experience The Pickleball Space and its incredible features,” says Kali Broderick, co-founder, in a press release. “This tournament is just the beginning of our efforts to forge connections and community bonds through the love of pickleball.”
The Pickleball Space doesn’t stop at tournaments. It offers leagues, lessons and diverse formats, including group, private, semi-private and small-group lessons at its Pickleball Academy. The facility also welcomes drop-ins for $12 through the free mobile app CourtReserve.
