First job: I worked at Sport Chalet (sporting goods store) in the shoe department.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: I’m still very new to AZ (one year), and I’ve probably been gone for at least half that time due to work/travel. I love the people and enjoy going on walks with my wife, kids and dog. I know Arizona has so much more to offer, and we look forward to exploring it!
Your biggest accomplishment and why: Becoming a father. I have two beautiful children (soon to be three!) There is no greater calling in life.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Navigating the loss of my oldest brother, Paul. We were really close, and I looked up to him. With the massive age gap between us (15 years), he also represented an additional father figure for me. Our parents separated when I was in middle school, and it hit hard. I’m very blessed to have incredible people in my life who were there to help. It’s so important to surround yourself with people that genuinely care about you.
Someone who inspires you and why: My wife. She is the most driven and intelligent person that I know. Without her I wouldn’t be where I am today. Full stop
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Life is going to throw you lots of ups and downs. You have to roll with the punches, there will be good days and bad days. Nothing lasts for forever. Make sure the people in your life want to help build you up and not tear you down. Tomorrow is another day. If you think you have your future figured out, prepare for obstacles because they will occur. Don’t take yourself too seriously; it’s OK to laugh at yourself.
