Fabulous People: Nayan Ranchhod

Nayan Ranchhod is a private wealth advisor with Scottsdale’s Silver Lining Wealth Advisors. “We are passionate about empowering you and your family to pursue your financial goals.” Learn about Nayan Ranchhod…

Hometown: Tulsa, OK

First job: Working alongside my mom in the housekeeping department of their motel when I was in high school.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: Either hanging with my beautiful wife and three daughters or golfing in the Arizona sunshine.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: Being able to help people reach their goals and feats they might not have achieved without us. Success, to us, is making the lives of those around us better.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: Moving from Tulsa to Boston. I didn’t know what to expect and how I would fit in. Through the experience, I learned more about myself and was forced to develop a strong sense of self which has shaped who I am today and gave me the confidence and strength to move to Arizona after college without knowing anyone.

Someone who inspires you and why: My mom and dad. They came to the US with two suitcases each and were able to create a family, business and legacy through hard work, determination and focus. They are the ultimate delayed gratification practitioners who have not only shaped me and my siblings, but those who have met them over the years.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Be ready to commit your time and effort, and have the passion to support it. I am everything from a financial planner to a therapist in most client meetings.

Favorite quote: “The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible and achieves the impossible.” -Winston Churchill

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I drive a truck and like country music.

What makes someone fabulous: Someone who isn’t afraid to fail, but instead embraces it and grows from it.
