Hometown: I was born in Iowa City, IA, but grew up here in Phoenix. As a graduate from Arizona State University, you could say I’ve come to know my way around!
First job: My first job was at Golden Swirl Frozen Yogurt — I can still swirl quite the cone!
Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: Being anywhere outdoors with my husband and our two boys. We love going to sporting events, trying new restaurants, exploring some of the state’s coolest spots and spa-ing, of course!
Your biggest accomplishment and why: As its spa director, Alvadora Spa achieving Forbes Four Star status rounds out as my greatest professional accomplishment. In addition, I do take pride in mentoring and growing my team and feel so proud to see team members moving up in their own career. Personally speaking, I have the most kind-hearted, smart and loving boys who continue to amaze me every day!
The biggest obstacle you overcame: The journey of our son overcoming leukemia has been the most challenging obstacle to overcome. He was diagnosed at just 2-and-a-half years old and was in treatment for two and a half years. I learned a great deal about strength, courage, gratitude and life’s fragility. He is now about to graduate kindergarten as an adventurous, soulful 6-year-old living life to the fullest.
Someone who inspires you and why: My husband, John, and our boys, Jackson and Aiden, remind me daily how it feels to be loved unconditionally, to be present and slow down and to not take life so seriously.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Find a good mentor! I was very fortunate to have great mentors early on in my career who gave me the necessary tools and guidance to quickly grow, succeed and be the best version of myself. I advise others to be open-minded, humble and constantly learning — find your tribe and always take care of your people!

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I hold a wealth of knowledge about sharks, snakes, insects, dinosaurs and animals in general, thanks to our 9-year-old son! He has a natural curiosity and strong love for learning, teaching me so much I never thought I would know.
What makes someone fabulous: A positive attitude with an abundance of gratitude.
