Hometown: Scottsdale, AZ

First job: Arizona Bread Crafters. Love a good bakery.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: Trying new restaurants, hiking and, when it’s hot, a nice pool scene.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: Opening up a gallery in Beijing, China as it was a completely different environment in which I had to learn quickly and adjust to on the spot. Eventually, everything fell into place and we launched a successful stable of contemporary artists.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: Living abroad. At first, it was incredibly difficult but, in the end, it taught me so much about adapting. The ability to adapt can be a person’s greatest asset or weakness and being able to recognize the difference is what helped me overcome my obstacles.

Someone who inspires you and why: My parents. They immigrated to the States from France when they were 22. With very little, they were able to build a successful gallery which they have now brought to Hong Kong. They were my inspiration to open a space in Beijing and now here in Scottsdale.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Stay true to the art; it has more value than you can imagine.

Favorite quote: “To create one’s own world takes courage.” –Georgia O’Keefe

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I speak French fluently and can get around in Mandarin.

What makes someone fabulous: Someone who is authentic, kind and loves lifting others up.
