Faro & Brag, the newest restaurant at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, has made its debut. Named after two historically popular games in western saloons, Faro (a 17th-century French gambling game) and Brag (an 18th-century British card game), the restaurant draws inspiration from the excitement and risk-taking atmosphere of the Wild West.
Faro & Brag has a sophisticated dining ambiance, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. This fully-renovated restaurant promises an unparalleled experience with a modern culinary focus, crafted by Executive Chef Chris Masco. Faro & Brag’s menu is a combination of fresh, seasonal and local ingredients, showcasing unique flavors and presentations across breakfast, lunch and dinner, in addition to monthly wine dinners and weekend brunches. Innovative dishes such as the Desert Springs barramundi and specialty plates like the paella and tamarind-braised pork shank elevate the menu.
“Far from the ordinary, Faro & Brag is a space designed to elevate your senses and satisfy your cravings,” says Mike Tueros, director of food & beverage at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, in a press release. “We aim to deliver a one-of-a-kind dining experience where modern cuisine is brought to life through an imaginative menu curated with our guests’ well-being in mind.”
To complement the dining experience, Faro & Brag offers a curated collection of signature cocktails, wines and bourbon flights. Signature cocktails include the Black Manhattan, Popo’s Brag and Train to Uno. The restaurant also offers a variety of whiskey flights inspired by the card game Brag, where a trio of matching cards is referred to as a “prial.” Options include prial flights like Catching the Rye, It’s a Kentucky Thing and The Perfect Finish.
Faro & Brag is open daily for breakfast, from 6:30 to 11 a.m.; lunch, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and dinner, from 5 to 10 p.m.
