Kasai Japanese Steakhouse has opened its second Arizona location, this time in Peoria at the Park West shopping center. The new outpost promises a fusion of traditional dining, contemporary design and delectable Japanese cuisine.
Taking over the 7,500-sq.-ft. space once occupied by Toby Keith’s Bar and Grill, the revamped venue introduces a modern ambiance with traditional elements. The interior design mirrors the Scottsdale location, featuring a mix of red and tan sandstone tiles and warm chestnut brown stonework. Japanese artwork graces the walls along with lighting that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The patio is furnished with high-top tables and accommodates up to 20 guests, while the indoor seating features traditional dining tables, 12 teppanyaki tables and bar seating.
A highlight of the Peoria location is the private dining room, designed to host inmate gatherings and business meetings. The space is equipped with a teppanyaki table seating up to 25 guests, an 85-in. TV with HDMI hookups and a high-quality speaker system.
“We are proud to be opening our second location after more than 20 years of dinnertainment in North Scottsdale,” says Mike Russello, owner of Kasai, in a recent press release. “I am looking forward to the next chapter by bringing our passion to the West Valley and hope to expand even more in the future.”
The menu at the newly opened Kasai caters to a wide range of tastes, featuring signature dishes such as coconut chicken skewers, Szechuan beef udon yaki and Mongolian glazed lamb chops. Guests can indulge in the excitement of teppanyaki, where culinary skill transforms into a captivating dining experience. Teppanyaki at Kasai includes an entree with mushroom soup, a house salad, a shrimp starter, fried rice, seasonal vegetables and the signature pineapple soft-serve dessert. The restaurant also offers a specialty-crafted sushi menu for both adventurous and beginner sushi eaters.
The Park West Peoria location is open on Tuesday to Thursday, from 4 to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, from 3 to 10 p.m.; Sunday, from 3 to 9 p.m.; and closed on Monday.
