Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant has opened its third Valley location, complete with a tasting room for sampling the brand’s divine bottles. The San Tan Village outpost joins Cooper’s Hawk restaurants in North Scottsdale, Chandler and, just recently, Surprise.
When it comes to a fun date night spot, newly opened Cooper’s Hawk Gilbert is basically a one-stop shop. Seeking casual and comfy? Hit up the chic bar area. Wanting to really impress your guest? Opt for a table in the beautiful dining room. Want a laidback activity to enjoy before or after your meal? Sip and sample a variety of Cooper’s Hawk wine (and truffles!) in the tasting room. The tasting room also has a wide variety of gorgeous glassware, wine accessories and, of course, bottles for purchase, making it a must for nabbing unique gifts come the holiday season. Though its wine offerings are a big part of the allure of Cooper’s Hawk Gilbert, its scratch-made American-fusion menu is just as top-notch. Executive Chef Matt McMillin’s menu starts off with a wide range of appetizers, salads and soups, followed by ample pasta, seafood, chicken, steak and surf and turf dishes. (There are plenty of vegetarian, gluten-free and child-friendly options, to boot.) Cleverly, each dish notes a perfect Cooper’s Hawk wine companion so pairings are a breeze for guests. Handcrafted cocktails, beer and hard seltzers are also available.
Personal menu favorites include the delicate and flavorful ahi tuna sashimi; bacon-wrapped drunken shrimp; creamy roasted chicken risotto, with a variety of fresh summer veggies and candied bacon; soy-ginger salmon; and, for something sweet to end the repast, the s’more budino, layered with caramel custard, Valrhona chocolate mousse and brown butter-toasted graham cracker.
Those who love what they taste are invited to join Cooper’s Hawk Wine Club, which offers discounts on wine, food and retail products, as well as complimentary monthly tastings depending on membership type.
