Hotel Valley Ho’s signature dining destination, ZuZu, is offering an unforgettable summer experience this season with live music, seasonal markets, show-stopping shakes to indulge in and celebrity chef dinners to attend.
ZuZu, located at Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, has become a beloved neighborhood staple in the community. This dining destination firmly believes in the power of shared experiences and the joy of dining with loved ones and focuses on providing approachable yet elevated dishes.
At the helm of the Scottsdale restaurant is Chef Russell LaCasce, a culinary veteran with over 20 years of experience in the field. Chef LaCasce has trained with some of the best chefs in the Valley, including Chef Beau MacMillan. The culinary vet uses his keen eye for creative design and passion for cooking to curate the inventive menu served at ZuZu.
ZuZu offers a refreshing atmosphere with a menu showcasing unique dishes, small plates and handcrafted cocktails to pair with every bite. A daily happy hour menu is available from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with specials on select $5 cocktails, draft beer, red and white wine, and shareable plates ranging between $3 to $9. These bites include roasted garlic Moroccan hummus, crafted with cucumber, tomato, harissa, feta, olives and a soft pita on the side; short rib empanadas with paprika and an oregano and parsley chimichurri; or the blistered shishito peppers with a soy-citrus caramel drizzle and garlic-chip garnish. Be sure to stop by on select Saturday nights to enjoy vibrant live music while dining, with energetic sounds from artists like J Forte, Henry Thompson, Chad Rubin Band, Glade Wilson and The Chacons.
This summer, ZuZu will serve more than its staple plates and will welcome its Sip + Shop Summer Market Series and Celebrity Chef Dinners. These events are a culinary delight, featuring local vendors, artisans and talented chefs who bring their unique flavors and creations to the hotel. As its name suggests, guests can expect to sip and shop at Summer Market Series on select Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (July 15 and August 19). The market will feature local chefs, purveyors and wine and spirits. The indoor event will allow six wine, beer and spirits tastings, live music and a 20 percent off voucher to ZuZu.
Celebrity Chef Dinners are particularly exciting, as renowned chefs showcase their skills and prepare exclusive menus that are sure to leave your taste buds wanting more. A meet-and-greet reception with each participating chef will follow the three-course dinner. Upcoming guests include Chef Robert Irvine (July 14) and Chef Rene Andrade and Beau Macmillan (August 18).
Just in time for the warmer months, cool off this season with July’s Show Stopper Shake, the Let’s Go Party, inspired by none other than the new Barbie movie. The delectable treat features a pink strawberry milkshake base, topped with a blonde glamour girl in a pink frosting tsunami cake dress adorned with sprinkles and glitter. The shake is garnished with pink icing, a strawberry milk crumb, additional sprinkles and whipped cream. The July Show Stopper Shake is available throughout July and August, and for every shake sold, $1 will be donated to FreshStart.
