Arizona Restaurants Host Maui Fundraisers

Valley restaurants are coming together to raise funds to support those affected by the tragic Maui wildfires and help provide resources for disaster response and recovery.

Dine Out for Maui

Knife and Fork Media Group, in partnership with local chefs, host Dine Out for Maui, a variety of fundraising events and specials taking place in August. Most of the proceeds from the following events will go directly to the Hawaii Community Foundation and the Maui Strong Fund. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the GoFundMe of multiple families affected by the Maui wildfires, who the chefs know personally.

  • Crujente Tacos will donate 100 of the proceeds from its pork belly tacos ($7) on Sunday, Aug. 20, noon until 4 p.m., at the walk-up window (while supplies last).
  • For the week of Aug. 21, Rucsoni’s American Kitchen will donate a portion of the proceeds from its pork tenderloin entrée (open Tuesday to Sunday).
  • Kaizen, inside the Lawrence, will offer a $500 gift card as a raffle (details are available at kaizenphx.com) after Aug. 21. The raffle will run for a week, and all proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the fundraiser.
  • Original Breakfast House will host a fundraiser Aug. 26 and Aug. 27 with food specials, live music, a raffle and more. Details will be posted on its Facebook page during the week of Aug. 21.
  • Chula Seafood is hosting a raffle for a $500 gift card ($5 minimum donation and every additional $5 donated will be another entry, with a $20 donation equaling four entries). All money from the raffle will be donated to the fundraiser. The raffle will start on Aug. 21, and entries are accepted in store (at any Chula location) or at chulaseafood.com.
  • From Aug. 17 to Aug. 20, 100 percent of the proceeds from Vecina‘s short rib barbacoa taco with sweet corn and Anaheim chilis ($20) will go to the fundraiser.
