Summer Vacation: L’Auberge de Sedona

L’Auberge de Sedona, A Destination Hotel, is known as one of the most scenic and relaxing places to escape to in Sedona. This boutique inn, spa and restaurant is nestled on the banks of Oak Creek and has won countless travel awards.

Escape the heat this summer and enjoy a stay at one of the most romantic resorts in Arizona. The entire property is serene, relaxing and romantic with beautiful flowers lining the sidewalks throughout the property.

Accommodations

L’Auberge de Sedona features 62 luxury cottages, 21 traditional lodge-style guest rooms and a beautiful, stand-alone five-bedroom Creekhouse. The Vista Cottages and Suites feature oversized picture windows with an unobstructed 180-degree, panoramic view of Snoopy Rock, Giants Thumb and Elephant Rock. Situated on the banks of Oak Creek, the Creekside Cottages have patio doors that spill onto a large redwood deck where you can watch and listen to the creek. All of the rooms were recently updated and we are obsessed with the feeling the new interior evokes. The new color palette of the cottages reflects the relaxing and rejuvenating aura of the property, with cool shades of water blue contrasting light paneled walls. It’s welcoming and homey while also luxurious and sophisticated.

Dining

L’Auberge de Sedona offers two dining options on property, each offering a distinctive dining experience by Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage, Franck Desplechin. ETCH Kitchen & Bar is their more “casual” restaurant (I put that in parenthesis because even the casual option is simply fabulous). ETCH is pen for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a beautiful patio that overlooks the creek. Cress on Oak Creek is their signature dining option with tables right on the creek. There is an indoor dining room as well, but if you dine here we highly recommend a table next to the creek – the ambiance of this cannot be beat. This fine dining experience features a constantly changing prix fixe dinner. While it is a prix fixe menu, they can accommodate food restrictions if needed. The dishes use locally sourced and hand-selected ingredients that are inspired by the nature of Northern Arizona tied with French culinary techniques. A third dining option is 89Agave, located just above the resort, along Highway 89A in Uptown Sedona, adding a casual and vibrant dining experience. The new restaurant offers Sonoran-style Mexican food and intriguing tequila cocktails, in a fun and colorful environment.

Things to Do

The list is endless! There are tons of on property activities such as morning duck feeding, yoga and stargazing, just to name a few. Booking some time at the spa is definitely a must when at L’Auberge. The resort’s L’Apothecary Spa allows guests to become closer to the earth’s essential, native benefits through creating custom body care blends with local ingredients or interacting with the environment through earthing-inspired spa treatments. We had the opportunity to try the Quiet Mind Treatment. This massage was inspired by the Quiet Mind flower essence blend from Lotus Wei and is designed to help you turn off your mind and fully experience your treatment. The flower essence includes geranium, bird of paradise and passion flower, which support the letting go of distraction and dissolving of muscle tension. And one of our favorite things to do at L’Auberge is doing nothing at all. Relaxing on your cottage patio or down by the creek with a glass of wine is a perfect way to unplug and enjoy your time there.

Dog-Friendly
