The Immersive Van Gogh Art Exhibit Hits Scottsdale

After traveling the world showcasing the works of the posthumously famous Vincent Van Gogh, the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit has finally made its way to Scottsdale, allowing art connoisseurs to step inside the distressed, melancholic mind of Van Gogh, and experience his work in ways that have taken the world by storm.

The digital art experience, originating in France from creative director and Italian producer Massimiliano Siccardi, brings to life the works of Van Gogh using moving projections to put you into the center of every piece. Every inch of the 500,000-cubic-ft. installment surrounds you into the artist’s work, including Van Gogh’s yellow-drenched sunny landscapes, self-portraits, still life paintings and night scenes. Guests will experience some of his most famous paintings, the Nuit étoilée (Starry Night), Les Tournesols (Sunflowers) and La Chambre à coucher (The Bedroom).

Each unique display is accompanied by the works of Italian multimedia composer Luca Longobardi, who crafted a score that brings light euphoric piano melodies that quickly turn into a darker, more experimental style of electronic music. The score sets the ambiance of the room, evoking emotional responses throughout the experience to give visitors a feel for how Gogh might have felt when creating his work.

The art installation will be in Scottsdale now through Nov. 28, 2021, with tickets starting at $39.99 each.
