The Wigwam Arizona Resort has announced a multi-million-dollar renovation to its interiors and grounds. The comprehensive renovation is set to debut in Fall 2023.
“Our team and designers took immaculate care in making sure that the renovation preserved The Wigwam’s storied past while elevating and revitalizing the guestrooms where our guests can retire in absolute comfort,” says Katy Powers, general manager of The Wigwam, in a press release. “We are honored to have hosted so many guests and events over the years and look forward to sharing our updated spaces with our cherished guests and locals.”
Though the renovation will provide the resort with a fresh look and modern amenities, this historic resort in Litchfield Park will retain its Southwestern charm and casual elegance that locals have loved for decades.
The Wigwam renovation–which will be a resort-wide undertaking–comprises a complete interior refresh, touching on its casitas, suites and presidential suites. The new interior design is inspired by the beauty of the local surrounding desert landscape, showcasing a laidback-luxury style. Vinyl tile, geometric rug and artwork that will pay homage to the role that the Goodyear Tire Company played in the property’s history are all exciting design elements of the renovation. Each guestroom offers a private patio overlooking pools, gardens, tennis courts or golf courses.
The gorgeous grounds–spanning more than 440 acres–will also be affected during the The Wigwam renovation. Beautiful century-old cacti, native plants and seasonal desert blooms will greet guests as they move about the resort.
The Wigwam renovation will be phased to minimize disruptions to guests, and the resort will continue improvements into next year. This summer, book The Wigwam’s Summertime & Sunshine Package, with which guests can take advantage of a $50 daily resort credit to use toward dinner at Litchfield’s or Red Allen’s Bar & Grill, a visit to LeMond’s Aveda Salon – Spa or a round on one of three championship golf courses.
