PBX Pro-Am Experience
October 17 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
PBX Pickleball, the organization that unites retired professional athletes with the pickleball community, invites guests to its first PBX Pro-Am Experience at Chicken N Pickle on Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Fans will have the opportunity to play pickleball with and against retired professional athletes, including 5x MLB All-Star Luis Gonzalez, who famously led the Arizona Diamondbacks to a World Series Championship in 2001, and retired NFL Quarterback Jake Plummer, who played with Arizona State and the Arizona Cardinals where he earned a spot in the 2005 Pro Bowl. Gonzalez and Plummer signed to be PBX Pros.
Other PBX Pros scheduled to play at the PBX Pro-Am in Glendale include American swimmer and Olympic Gold Medalist Breeja Larson, 2x MLB All-Star Brad Penny, and 2x MLB All-Star Jeff Cirillo. Professional pickleball player and PBX Pickleball Head Coach Ryan Sherry will also participate.
Gonzalez, Plummer, Larson, Penny, Cirillo, and Sherry will play with and against fans who register for the PBX Pro-Am. The exclusive opportunity will be limited to a maximum of 15 fans, who will spend four hours with the star athletes playing pickleball in a round-robin format, plus enjoying breakfast and lunch during a one-of-a-kind premium experience.
