Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: During the cooler months, I enjoy lounging in the backyard with a cup of tea, road trips to Sedona for a zen boost, curling up next to a fireplace, attending sporting events and using every opportunity to break out my thigh-high boots! But in the summer, I enjoy staycations at local resorts, dining at local restaurants and attending concerts.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment is maintaining an unwavering commitment to doing what is right. Through one’s personal and professional life, there are a myriad of paths, each with its unique allure. Amidst this, it was important to hold the course while setting sights on loftier goals. These very standards paved the way for my foray into entrepreneurship, where I now proudly lead one thriving business and have founded another.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Without a doubt, imposter syndrome. I’ve been fortunate to have an incredible support network, including my wonderful husband, who has been exceptionally encouraging throughout this journey. They provided me with invaluable strategies for tackling imposter syndrome head-on.
Someone who inspires you and why: Audrey Hepburn. She epitomized women’s style, grace, sophistication and confidence. She was a trailblazer within the film industry as an actress, but she also extended her strong ethic to humanitarian work, which she was recognized for even posthumously.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Be relentless in your pursuit of providing the best clinical care. Stay consistently engaged in learning and keep your finger on the pulse of the latest technologies and treatment methods. When you do so, your patients will value your commitment to being at the forefront of your field.
Favorite quote: “You can never be overdressed or overeducated.” — Oscar Wilde
Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I have an eclectic taste in music – I range from hip-hop and rap to techno and deep house.
What makes someone fabulous: I fully believe that being fabulous is about heart and authenticity. Style is intertwined with being fabulous because style is the multifaceted expression of one’s unique qualities that collectively shape one’s identity. Individuals manifest this in different aspects, not only in their appearance but also in their behavior (especially towards others).
