Hometown: Del Mar, CA

First job: Camp counselor at a summer art program called Children’s Creative Workshop.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: Bike riding with my family and hiking,

Your biggest accomplishment and why: I believe owning a business for nearly 20 years is an accomplishment in itself, and there have been so many prideful and meaningful milestones along the way. However, I would say the most rewarding achievement is cultivating and maintaining a positive and safe place to work where creativity flourishes and genuine friendships are developed inside and outside of the agency. It is a genuine privilege to be a part of and witness the major life milestones of our team members while supporting them in their professional journey.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: Owning an advertising agency specializing in predominantly hospitality during COVID. It was a stressful time to keep every employee employed without furloughs or pay cuts. However, we came out of COVID better than we ever were as an organization.

Someone who inspires you and why: My two kids (8 and 9 years old). Their creativity and curiosity inspires me every day. We should all try to remember to have faith like a child and constantly look at the world through their eyes whenever possible.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Be a sponge! Seek mentorship as much as humanly possible. Be OK with what you don’t know because you don’t. Be humble and accept that there is more experience to come in your professional journey and thinking you’re already an expert isn’t realistic. I am still learning every day nearly 25 years into my career!

Favorite quote: “Many hands make for light work.” My dad was a naval officer for years, and I repeat his quote to my team almost weekly. It’s a good reminder that if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, bring those that support you along for the journey.

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I am more introverted than most realize. I need my quiet/down time to process all the entrepreneurial thoughts racing through my head.

What makes someone fabulous: Personally, it’s someone with deep integrity. I love people who are consistent and do what they say they are going to do.
