The Eleanor

The Eleanor is now open in South Scottsdale, serving both sweet and savory breakfast options. This mid-century modern brunch spot is a new concept from the owners of The Clayton House and Fate Brewing Company.

When you open the oversized blue doors to The Eleanor–a new mid-century modern-inspired brunch spot in a South Scottsdale –you are transported into a bright, family-friendly atmosphere. ALINE Architecture, in collaboration with Social Design Studio, has transformed the 1960’s building into an open, modern space. Light wood accents, blue tile and pops of yellow further the mid-century modern vibe. The Eleanor is a very spacious restaurant with community-style seating, traditional booths, bar seating and an extensive outdoor area complete with misters.

The grab-and-go section features open fridges with an array of drink options ranging from chocolate milk to pressed juice, in addition to branded merchandise, including T-shirts and mugs. Head to the back counter to grab a pastry and a coffee, then sit at a large community table directly in front of the grab-and-go section for a quick breakfast option for busy mornings before work or school.

The sit-down menu features egg dishes, quick bites, sweet treats and handhelds, while the drink menu features craft cocktails, mimosas, wine and, of course, an array of coffee and espresso-based drinks. The coffee menu features beans from James Coffee Co. roasted in San Diego, providing a bold flavor.

The Eleanor serves breakfast classics such as biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos and pancakes. You can’t go wrong with the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich or salmon benedict. The breakfast sandwich is served on fluffy bread with crispy bacon and a runny egg yolk. (Don’t forget to ask for a side of the homemade hot sauce, perfect for dipping.) The salmon benedict comprises a house-made English muffin with a generous serving of house-smoked salmon and a creamy lemon hollandaise sauce. As you cut into the benedict, the yolk oozes over the salmon, furthering the rich flavor. Both of these dishes are served with a side of breakfast potatoes that are crisped to perfection.

The Eleanor is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit www.theeleanoraz.com.
