Carcara Celebrates Second Birthday with Limited-Edition Menu

In celebration of Carcara’s second birthday, the signature restaurant at Sheraton Downtown Phoenix is offering a birthday menu with dinner specials and throwback cocktails only available on Fridays and Saturdays in March from 5 to 10 p.m. When guests order off the birthday menu, 10 percent of the dish’s revenue is donated to HopeKids charity.

The limited-edition Carcara birthday menu captures the essence of Arizona’s 5 C’s – cattle, cotton, citrus, climate and copper. Diners can savor the juicy grass-fed New York Strip laying on a decadent celery root and leek puree that has a similar texture to creamy mashed potatoes. The steak is topped with blue cheese foam and Tamarindo butter cotton candy and served with a side of grilled baby zucchini. The dish is beautifully plated on a copper-striped dish, paying homage to the importance of copper in Arizona’s history.

To sweeten the celebration, diners can’t pass on the citrus funfetti birthday cake that is beautifully plated with flowers, orange slices, raspberry jelly and edible white chocolate decor. What makes the cake truly stand out is that it tastes even better than it looks. The cake is iced with an orange-infused buttercream that captures the taste of biting into a juicy orange, offering a refreshing dessert option.

Carcara has reintroduced two original cocktails from its opening in March 2022 in honor of the occasion. The Devil’s Bridge cocktail pays homage to the renowned hiking trail in Sedona. The drink is as red as the iconic Sedona rocks and is made with Cruzan rum, triple sec, passionfruit, grenadine, pineapple juice and lime juice, creating the same flavor profile as a fruit punch. The second drink, the Piestewa Peak, is named after another popular hiking trail, this time in Phoenix. The vodka-based cocktail has flavors of grapefruit, rose, ginger, lemon and lime for a refreshing yet snappy taste.

Guests can partake in Carcara’s birthday menu in two settings, either in the outdoor lounge or indoor dining room. The lounge-style patio is adorned with lush orange trees, a fireplace and multiple firepits, creating a cozy atmosphere. Alternatively, the dining room is filled with warm tones, a sprawling bar and a lush tree, which serves as the focal point of the restaurant. Both settings offer the perfect ambiance to savor Carcara’s birthday menu.
