Shaken and served over dry ice, this drink is sweet and fruity and made with all fresh juices. The bread service is a nice option to have before and during your meal, while the seafood tower is a must to start your experience at Mastro’s Ocean Club. The assortment of seafood—jumbo prawns, Dungeness crab leg and buttery King crab claws—comes in a fantastic presentation of dry ice billowing over the tower. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, but a few highly recommended entrees are the Chilean sea bass and any of the mouthwatering steak options, especially the bone-in filet. The majority of the menu items can be enhanced in some capacity, from the addition of truffle butter to any steak or how the seafood dishes are prepared. Guests can choose to have their fish pan-seared, grilled, blackened, Cajun-seasoned or oreganata-crusted. The Chilean sea bass is light, buttery and melts in your mouth. Adding the lemon-herb caper butter gives the dish a rich and creamy profile. The bone-in 12-oz. filet is topped with truffle butter to give it a buttery and creamy taste. (It can also be topped with bone marrow butter.) The steak is cooked to perfection and very well-seasoned and, again, melts in your mouth.
Be sure to savor a few of the options for sides with your main dish, which are served family-style. Choose from many vegetable dishes, including a house favorite—the sauteed wild mushrooms—or creamed spinach. For a starch, opt for the famous lobster mashed potatoes or cheesy scalloped potatoes.
