A cozy flex concept located in the heart of Central Phoenix, 32 Shea is a neighborhood coffee bar and cafe by day and transforms into an intimate lounge with a stellar full-service dining experience by night.
Since opening its doors in 2011, 32 Shea has been bringing locals and visitors alike the perfect go-to hangout spot. The indie destination is famous for its cozy coffee shop vibes and incredible daytime sips, making it the ultimate hangout for those looking to study, work or catch up with friends. But to the surprise of most visitors, 32 Shea also houses a to-die-for menu and an incredible cocktail program in the evening, shifting the previous setting into a darker, more intimate environment.
The space, what was once a 1980’s drive-thru photo mart, features an indoor/outdoor concept, with a warm and cozy dining space inside, and an open patio oasis complete with an abundance of botanical life, chic string lights and a buddha statue surrounded by water and fire on the patio. The outdoor setting makes you feel as if you are right in the middle of a Zen garden, and is very pet friendly.
32 Shea focuses on using only fresh, local ingredients for each of its dishes, and offers an elevated, comfort food menu with mains like the lobster mac and cheese, handcrafted with a creamy gouda-goat cheese sauce, butter garlic, lobster tails and white truffle oil drizzle; the braised short ribs, with bacon potato pancakes and braised short ribs that have been slow-cooked in wine; or the Salmon Superfood, a sweet-and-savory health-conscious dish with a salmon filet glazed with a sweet chile vinaigrette. Be sure to save room for dessert and try one of the sweet treats, like the flourless gluten-free chocolate mud cake or the house-made Nutella cheesecake (by far, the best cheesecake we have ever had).
To wash everything down, the beverage program features an assortment of local beers, wines and refreshing cocktails. Some of our favorite sips include the Rosemary Hussey, with rosemary-infused simple syrup, gin, fresh lime and soda, and the Arizona Hummingbird with cucumber-infused vodka, fresh lemon, elderflower and kiwi. A daily 12-hour happy hour is available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with $8 mixed drinks and $5 brews.
