Restaurant of the Week: La Bocca

La Bocca is a casual wine bar pizzeria with locations on Mill Avenue in Tempe and High Street in North Phoenix.

Serving up delicious bruschetta, salad, pizza and pasta, La Bocca uses locally sourced Mediterranean and Italian ingredients for its menu items. The Tempe location opened in 2008, followed by a location at High Street in North Phoenix and a third location coming in the Fall to Chandler.

The smoked prosciutto with fig and truffle oil and the gorgonzola with pear, basil and balsamic reduction bruschetta planks are two of our favorites. If you’re looking for a lighter option, try the goat cheese and pear salad or the harvest chopped salad.


You can build your own made from scratch pizza or choose one of their creations, such as the bocca trio with pepperoni, salami and sausage or the brussel sprout pizza.

For drinks, they have a great wine menu and their red and white sangria is a hit with customers.
