Slated to open this spring, Source Restaurant and Market is bringing a relaxed, fast-fine dining concept to Gilbert with vibrant Mediterranean flavors and natural wines.
With Thai Chili 2 Go founder Akshat Sethi and Chef Claudio Urciuoli at the helm, the new spot will offer an organic menu with flavors of the Mediterranean coast. Chef Urciuoli will utilize traditional techniques such as steel plancha cooking, steaming, braising and fermentation to pull rich flavors from each flavor source–as well as only using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
âWe meticulously source our ingredients from a network of farmers, fishers, producers and other purveyors that exemplify our ethos. We are a vital connection between land and sea and our guests. We believe in cooking in symbiosis with the ecosystem, balancing our consumption with the rhythms of nature,â says Sethi, Source Restaurant and Market co-founder.
Sourceâs menu will feature sandwiches, salads, pizza, tapas, a multitude of mezze and Venetian-style cicchetti (small snacks). To complement each dish is a lineup of natural fine wines and cocktails. At the connected market, guests can expect to purchase fresh, house-made bread, fine wines and other grab-and-go-style goods.Â
