While its signature cocktail lounge, LUSTRE Rooftop Bar, undergoes a renovation, Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix has welcomed a new, must-visit bar concept to its space: the tropical pop-up, Summer Breeze Social Club.
With award-winning bartender and mixologist Clint Spotleson at its helm, Summer Breeze Social Club is making a splash in Phoenix with its tiki and yacht getaway-inspired decor, food and cocktails. The spot makes you feel as if you have been whisked away from our desert terrain and are simply enjoying island life on a beach oasis.
The pop-up is located on the third floor of the Phoenix hotel, featuring a cocktail menu with fruity sips inspired by Hawaii, Asia and other tropical destinations. Some favorites include the Blue Sonoran with tequila, banana, blue Curacao, lime, coconut and pineapple; the Singapore Sling with gin, Cherry Heering, Benedictine, Cointreau, grenadine, lime, pineapple and bitters; or the Mai Tai, with rum, lime, orgeat and orange Curacao.
Each sip is served in an adorable cup, like an interactive pirate ship or sage tiki. If you are feeling adventurous, the We Found Nemo is a literal fish bowl-style cocktail with gin, blue Curacao, lemon, Tropical Itch Biz, soda and floating fish candies. The bowl serves four people and glows with the help of a rainbow strobe light, making it almost too pretty and fun to drink.
In addition to the handcrafted lineup, the Phoenix pop-up also offers on-theme bites, including a Cuban sandwich, tuna tartar, Tajin popcorn, teriyaki skewers and more.
The Summer Breeze Social Club is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The pop-up is slated to close in November.
