Indulge in opulent sipping seminars and exclusive epicurean events this summer at Hearth ’61, Mountain Shadows Scottsdale Resort’s signature dining destination. The restaurant offers the perfect backdrop to enjoy warm summer nights with loved ones, with unmatched views of Camelback Mountain and delectable culinary delights. 

Located at the award-winning Mountain Shadows Scottsdale Resort, Hearth ’61 aims to provide a delightful selection of modern American cuisine that is sure to suit every palate. Each plate at the restaurant is crafted using locally sourced ingredients, allowing guests to indulge in a memorable culinary experience while taking in the awe-inspiring views of Camelback Mountain. Each dish is designed to artfully pair with a selection of craft cocktails, local brews and extensive wine selection. 

Specialties at Hearth ’61 include a wide variety of modern plates, with local favorites including Two Wash Ranch Half Chicken, a gluten-free dish with forbidden rice, snap peas and a charred scallion vinaigrette; Duroc Farm’s Pork Chop with summer succotash, celery root puree and pink peppercorn glaze; and Niman Ranch Tenderloin of Beef, crafted with a red wine demi, bleu cheese fondue and truffled mash.

With renowned Chef de Cuisine Yulissa Acosta at the helm, Hearth ’61 is serving up summer specials this season, focusing on dining experiences that honor tradition and community. 

One of the highlights of these offerings includes a stellar monthly Sunday Supper Club series. The exclusive event will take place on one select Sunday a month and offers an extraordinary four-course dining experience available for both locals and hotel guests alike. During this culinary venture, Hearth ’61 will collaborate with renowned chefs to create a unique and memorable menu for visitors to enjoy. The Sunday Supper Club is an excellent opportunity for food enthusiasts to indulge in and discover new dishes and connect with some of our communities most talented chefs. 

The first event of the series will be led by Chef Richard Garcia of Park Plaza Liquor & Deli in Prescott. The dinner will take place on July 16, featuring plates like tuna crudo, stuffed okra, Berkshire pork, a refreshing guava cheesecake and more. Each dish will be paired with a complimentary glass of wine. On August 13, attendees can anticipate an experience honed by David Brito, executive chef of Geordie’s at Wrigley Mansion. 

Additionally, Hearth ’61 hosts Spirited Sipping Seminars this season. The seminars are perfect for those interested in expanding their knowledge of wine and spirits and will take guests on a journey of each sip from the restaurant’s stellar team of experienced mixologists and sommeliers. The events will occur on a select Saturday each month, with a seminar available to suit every taste bud. Each experience is 30 to 45 minutes long and is paired with a light nosh. Save the date: July 15 for Spicy Poolside Cocktails and August 19 for Beautiful Bordeaux; $40 each.
