Fire at Will is an intimate Scottsdale restaurant with a moody atmosphere that will transport diners to the heart of a bustling city. With an expansive menu and a three-course dinner every Tuesday, this neighborhood eatery is a must-try.
Fire at Will recently joined Cast Iron Concepts, the local restaurant group behind Hush Public House, in late 2022. The chef-driven Scottsdale gastropub, helmed by Chef Dom Ruggiero, has already become a critical success in the Valley in its first few months of business. (Cast Iron Concepts’ newest concept, Bar Cena, is slated for a Fall 2023 opening.)
Fire at Will has a dark, moody atmosphere—ideal for a date night—with dimly lit lights and black walls showcasing hints of exposed brick and red tile. The centerpiece of the space is the greenery sprouting from the ceiling above large community-style tables. When walking in, diners are greeted by an expansive bar and a collection of black-and-white photos showcasing everything from nuns smoking cigarettes to vintage bars, all adding to the sexy ambiance.
The dinner-only establishment has a trio of menu categories: small plates, bigger plates and desserts. The fan-favorite small plate is the crispy brussels sprouts, and they do not disappoint. The brussels sprouts are indeed crispy but with a soft interior and topped with roasted peanuts, sesame and pears, which broke through the spice. Bacon-wrapped dates, lamb tartare and shrimp ceviche are just a few of the other small plates offered on the menu.
Fire at Will’s bigger plates include pan-roasted bay scallops, Creole shrimp pasta, stacked enchiladas and grilled ribeye. The spicy soba noodles are a must-try, with just a touch of spice. The dish is topped with fresh mushrooms, broccolini, tahini and roasted peanuts, making it the perfect balanced dish.
In addition to its standard menu, every Tuesday night Fire at Will offers Neighborhood Night featuring a three-course meal for $44. Bacon-wrapped dates, Iberico ham croquettes and Little Gem salad are options for the first course. For the main course, choose among Hush Burger, lobster roll or beef bolognese, and finish off your dinner with chocolate tiramisu or a gelato sundae.
Fire at Will is open Sunday to Thursday, 5 to 9 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday, 5 to 10 p.m.
