Inside Joey Maggiore’s New Menu at The Sicilian Butcher

Spring is in full swing with Joey Maggiore’s new menu at The Sicilian Butcher, which has Valley locations in Phoenix, Chandler and Peoria. This modern-casual restaurant is switching things up and adding new options to its appetizer, signature dish, pizza and dessert menus.

Recently added appetizers include Arancini Torte with saffron rice, three-meat ragu, English peas and mozzarella; Fritto Misto with calamari, cherry peppers, fennel and marinara sauce; Clams & ‘Nduja with roasted garlic, saffron rice, tomato wine broth and shoestring fries; and Prosciutto E Melone with farmer’s market melon, cantaloupe, stracciatella cheese and Calabrian honey. Previous favorites like the Eggplant Parmigiana, Castroville Artichoke and Italian Saganaki can still be found on the menu.

Seasonal signature additions include the Pork Chop Milanese made with 14-oz. pounded-thin pork chop, herb breadcrumbs, wild arugula and lemon; Frutti Di Mare with clams, shrimp, calamari, octopus, saffron wine, tomato-herb sauce and saffron tagliatelle; Pappardelle & Sausage Ragu with braised Sicilian sausage ragu, rapini, whipped ricotta and grana; and Baked Gnocchi with three-meat ragu, peas, Parmigiano sauce, mozzarella and breadcrumbs.

The Artichoke Bianca pizza with prosciutto, parmigiano cream, mozzarella and arugula is not to be missed and neither is the Sicilian Sausage made with San Marzano tomato-herb sauce, ground sausage, caramelized onions, peppers, fresh mozzarella and Calabrian honey.
