Clayton Companies and Aline Architecture Concepts have breathed new life into the former Scottsdale Dry Cleaners, transforming it into a mid-century modern brunch restaurant, The Eleanor. The spot opens Sept. 4.
The creative minds behind Clayton Companies and Aline Architecture Concepts have a track record of successful hospitality projects, including Fate Brewing Company and The Clayton House. Their next highly anticipated project, The Eleanor, is set to open on Sept. 4, offering sit-down dining and grab-and-go options in South Scottsdale. Its menu will feature the likes of eggs benedict, maple butter pancakes, breakfast hash and churro French toast.
“When it came to the structure and design of this space, it was a no-brainer that we were going to work with Brian and his team at Aline,” says Tom Frenkel, owner of Clayton Companies, in a recent press release. “After working on several projects across the Valley and building a relationship with the team over the years, I knew it was going to be a seamless collaboration. Brian has an incredible ability to not only execute my vision but also provide feedback and direction when necessary. The Aline team created a refreshing and stunning new concept for us to house The Eleanor in, and we couldn’t be more excited to have a new brunch spot for our local community to gather.”
The Eleanor will feature a new exterior space that was once covered with asphalt. This area has been transformed into a Polynesian-themed space featuring subtropical plants, lava rocks and a shade structure over the area. New garage doors and a high wall with clerestory windows welcome in the natural light. The addition of the green space not only adds to the restaurant’s charm but bridges a gap between The Eleanor and its neighboring establishment, a yet-to-be-named lunch and dinner restaurant set to open next door in Spring 2024.
