Each tour is led by knowledgeable and engaging guides who possess a fascination for local lore and the ghostly tales of historical sites in Downtown Mesa. Each tour takes guests on a journey through the city after dark while guides tell the haunting stories of Mesa’s rich history.
The experience is curated to include significant historical landmarks and spooky locations, creating an authentic and adventurous atmosphere. Whether you’re a believer in the paranormal or a skeptic, the ghost tour will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the evening. The tour is experienced from the back of a rolling “spirit animal” (a Rydables cart), including Flaco the mouse, Gato Loco the cat and Gordo the hippo, to name a few. The animals will guide you along your journey with the help of their electric, battery-powered hearts designed for multi-terrain outdoor experiences. Riders of all ages are welcome to use a Rydables animal, with each kart able to hold up to 350 pounds. During Arizona’s warmer, more unforgiving months, the spirit animals will come equipped with fans and the occasional water guns to help guests stay cool and comfortable.
One of the highlights of Rydables Ghost Tours is the opportunity to participate in paranormal investigations. Armed with the latest ghost-hunting equipment and accompanied by experienced investigators, those brave enough will have the chance to detect and communicate with any spirits that may be lingering nearby.
Each venture is 90 minutes long and will include stops and photo opps at historical murals, sites and more. A break at the local staple Novel Ice Cream is included in the excursion for a cooling and sweet way to end the night. All ghost hunters are welcome on the tour, including little ones. Tours are available daily, starting at 8 p.m., with tickets starting at $69 for adults 12 and up and $39 for children between 2 and 11.
