Hometown: Cleveland, Ohio

First job: Concierge psychiatrist in my own private practice.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: I love spending time with my family and friends and exploring new places in the Valley. I also really enjoy playing pickleball and taking time for self-care at the spa.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment is starting and growing two private concierge psychiatry practices in Arizona and California. I am proud of the high level of care that the clinicians and I provide to the local community. In addition, within the practice, I had the opportunity to be the consulting team psychiatrist for the NBA Phoenix Suns and WNBA Phoenix Mercury for two years, which led me to find my passion for athlete mental health advocacy.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: When I was in medical school and my adult psychiatry residency, there were no lessons on business in medicine or the administrative side of running a practice. When I opened Choulet Wellness: Scottsdale Concierge Psychiatry & Therapy and Beverly Hills Concierge Psychiatry, I had to learn on the job and figure things out for myself each day.

Someone who inspires you and why: I am inspired by female founders and entrepreneurs. Balancing one’s personal and professional life is delicate, and when I meet other female business owners who have achieved a proper work-life balance, I am very inspired.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Never give up and learn from your mistakes. Plenty of challenges come up while founding and growing a business; however, what sets successful people apart is their ability to set goals, take action and create an authentic brand.

Favorite quote: “A leader is best when people barely know (s)he exists, when his/her work is done, his/her aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.” —Lao Tzu

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I am a licensed real estate agent in the state of Arizona.

What makes someone fabulous: Someone who is authentically themselves.
