Located within Scottsdale Quarter, Arboleda invites guests to explore an elegant interpretation of Mediterranean cuisine with a distinctive menu, showcasing visually striking dishes crafted to perfection.
From Björn Kock and brothers Mitchell and Steven Rosenthal, Arboleda opened at Scottsdale Quarter earlier this year with Executive Chef Evan Gotanda at the helm. The restaurant has a dimly lit, intimate ambiance, making it the perfect spot for a romantic evening. The focal point of the restaurant is a tree encircled by four tables. Arched doorways, pops of blue and a spacious bar also grace the restaurant.
Arboleda takes pride in serving seasonal, locally and globally sourced ingredients in a menu that spotlights vibrant Mediterranean cuisine. The menu is split into multiple sections including little bites, tapas, crudos and jamon, and it is recommended to try multiple dishes within these sections as the portions are similar to a small appetizer.
Among the “little bites,” the whipped foie gras cone is a must try. The cone comes to your table standing upright in a beautiful display of stones. The foie gras itself is rich, creamy and has a nice crunch from the cone and toasted walnuts sprinkled on top. Moving over to the tapas portion of the menu, the crispy Iberico pork is served like a taco, with a fry bread shell. Inside the fry bread is tender Iberico pork and a sweet jam that complements the spice of the pork and vegetables that add a nice, fresh taste and texture to the dish.
The other half of the menu includes entrees such as salads, pastas, fish and other meats. Many of the staff members recommended the Iberico pork ‘pluma,’ which includes an orange confit and thyme crust, mixed chicories, farro and puffed grains. The snapper and squid ink fettuccine are personal favorites. The snapper is cooked to perfection with flakey meat and a crispy skin served with creamy mashed potatoes topped with caviar and tender cauliflower. The squid ink fettuccine is light for a pasta dish, with a lemon sauce that complements the generous amount of seafood in the dish.
To drink, the restaurant spotlights a range of specialty cocktails (including a delicious signature sangria) and wines by both the glass and bottle from throughout the Mediterranean and beyond.
Arboleda is open for happy hour Monday through Friday, 3 to 5 p.m. Dinner hours are Sunday to Thursday, 5 to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 5 to 10 p.m. Indulge in brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
